"Last Stop"

Here is a display that has been on going for the past three years. It all started when i wanted to make a tunnel for my Rickety Railroad and Haunted Rails Halloween village pieces. One thing kept leading to another and i just keep creating new pieces. I had planed on making a small display, but it just got out of hand. Now Department 56 has come out with a new series called Ghost Town. This will probably be my next complete Halloween display for 2014.

I will be creating hills and mountains like in the old western landscape out of styrofoam and Celluclay. Celluclay is a paper machete that you mix with water. you can get this at Michel's Craft store for $24.95 in a 5lb. bag. Make sure you get the white Celluclay and not the gray. The white is easier to work with.

The scratch built pieces (Shed, Telephone Pole, Water Tower Etc.) are made out of Balsa Wood.

This book has seven pieces. The book itself is two layers of two inch styro glued together using Tacky Glue that you can get at just about any craft store. The binding is created using my own templates. For more info on making perfect strait cuts see my tutorial at http://buildingnewworlds.net under the title of "Another Bridge Tutorial".
